Currently I am 19 years old and attend Lake Land Community College in Mattoon, Illinois. I have always been a die-hard St. Louis Cardinal fan since I was born. I was born in Mount Zion, Illinois and have lived there my entire life. I have a brother, Eric, who attends Milliken University in Decatur, Illinois. My father, David, works for ADM (Archer Daniel Midland) while my mother, Kathie, works at K's Merchandize Corporate office. My father, David, was one of the biggest reasons today why I enjoy watching Cardinal baseball. I started to play baseball at the age of 5 and continued till I was 18 years old. I played shortstop for 8 years and then I was moved to third base for the remaining time. Watching Cardinal Baseball I enjoyed watching the "Wizard" Ozzie Smith. Not only was he gifted in fielding and hitting but he played out of heart. You would never see him become lazy on or off the field and with that he became the crowd favorite during his stint with the Cardinals. Currently today, my favorite players would have to be Scott Rolen and Albert Pujols. You may ask why I chose them two and it's pretty simple. Scott Rolen plays third base for the Cardinals and finishing my career at third base I always have respect for athlete's who play that position. He is one of the best defensive players in the league and growing up my strength was defense. I enjoy Albert Pujols the most because what he can do. Not only is he a great offensive producer, but his defense is coming along which makes him a complete player. If he is not in the lineup he is the biggest cheerleader the Cardinals' have. He always cheers and tries to motivate the team, which takes a lot of leadership. Next, Albert Pujols puts a lot of time into charities and helps out less fortunate kids.
